Here's a fun little discovery of a Muscovy duck and Goose nesting together.
The white fowl is a Chinese White Goose with her goslings. The black fowl is a Muscovy duck sitting on her eggs. The honking fellow at the beginning of the clip is a Chinese Grey Goose. He is her mate. Geese mate for life.
Geese farmers have been known to keep Muscovy ducks because they are better at keeping a nest. They would put the geese eggs in the ducks nest.

Family of burrowing owls

This family of owls is located between the playground next to the Department of Environmental Engineering Services and Vinson Ballpark. They are fenced in so kids from the playground and ballpark can't disturb them.

St. Vincent's Carnival

Catherine and I went to the carnival on Friday night. There were allot of fun things to do and I heard that they had a pretty good deal ($20 all day). I didn't see many people there. It was a cold night and windy, a bit too chilly to be whipping about in the sky on one of their rides.

Margate Youth Soccer is a great! Let you kids run around the field instead of your house. Your kids will learn sportsmanship while they exercise those growing muscles and burn off their excessive energy. My son had such a great time that I aready sign him up for the spring season. Now my daughter wants to play too.

Margate Fire-Rescue Retrieve a Sunken Car

I ran across this car in the canal on a morning walk and called it in to Margate.
They came and fished it out.
This was at the bridge just west of the corner of Copans and 441.
A few week later, someone drove another car into the same spot.
